Present Conversations
To enable conversations in Present, open your presentation in runtime. The conversation tools allow users to chat about reports in threaded conversations. You can start a new conversation in both Discover and Present.
Present conversations may created at the panel, member, or cell level:
- Report level conversation: a conversation based on the given presentation slide.
- Member level conversation: a conversation based on a given member in the visual.
- Cell level conversation: a conversation based on a given cell (data point) in the visual.
A conversation may be panel-specific or global:
- Report specific conversation: the conversation is linked to the specified member or cell in the given visual in the given presentation only. When creating a panel level conversation, it is panel-specific by default. To create a report specific conversation, select 'Report specific comment' from the New Conversation panel.
- Global conversation: the conversation is linked to the specified member or cell across the data model. The conversation can be opened from any visual containing the given member or cell, in both Discover and Present. To create a global conversation, deselect 'Report specific comment' from the New Conversation panel.
